Job description

As the Operations Manager you will work closely with the operational lead supporting clients, suppliers and internal contacts to deliver operational excellence across client services.  You will be responsible for delivering operational exceptional through excellent process management, customer service and product delivery.  The operations manager will support in running all day-to-day activities across international client services team, this includes helping to deliver Global order windows, ensuring critical paths are managed efficiently and all stakeholders are communicated to efficiently.

Key responsibilities

  • Support Operations lead in delivering operational excellence
  • Support harmonisation projects – managing status and progress tracking, providing specs and product technical details for playbooks/Toolkits
  • Report on and manage product library maintenance
  • Report on and manage compliance to company operating procedure, particular focus on product testing and quality
  • Product certification maintenance
  • Review and manage data accuracy for KPI’s, Savings and other MI reporting (including brand specific reports)
  • Support sourcing strategy and service improvement through reviewing supplier spend reports and issues log
  • Facilitate cost saving initiatives across the account
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process change/service development projects
  • Monitor technology and process usage
  • Co-ordinate monthly newsletter
  • Provide ad-hoc relief support cover for holidays within the account
  • Deliver a high level of customer service
  • Help monitor all projects to ensure they are delivered to specification and on time

Your skills:

  • Experience in co-ordinating key projects directly with clients and with internal client services
  • Operational management experience, working within a contracted environment to strict SLAs (service level agreements) and KPIs (key performance indicators)
  • Previous experience working in marketing print procurement essential
  • Experience in troubleshooting unexpected project issues and implementing preventative measures is preferred
  • Leadership and management experience is desirable
  • Numerate with a strong commercial understanding
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong time management and prioritisation skills
  • Able to prioritise workload in a high energy environment
  • Has a high level of technical print knowledge with detailed understanding of different techniques
  • Experienced and confident with press passing
  • Is professional, courteous and calm under pressure
  • Has a project management mind-set
  • Process driven, with an eye to sales and business development
  • Approachable and confident to offer advice in meetings
  • Able to manage and communicate with key client stakeholders to successfully deliver and exceed their expectations
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office and Google Apps is  preferred but not essential

Additional information

Permanent and fulltime. Location: Wakefield, United Kingdom

Compensation: GBP £35,000.00/Yr – GBP £45,000.00/Yr. + Bonus Potential of 10%
